I'm Ariel Moscrip, and I am here to help polish your manuscript to get you ready for publication! With my editing services, I will help you through the rough draft stages and on through to the final copy. With my educational knowledge and experience, we will make sure you are ready to publish your work confidently.

My qualifications include a B.A. in English with a concentration in creative writing and a minor in public and professional writing. Over the past four years, I've been an active member of the writing community, having written and published four novels, assisted in editing the student-run journal at Indiana State University, and collaborated with two Indie authors on their works.

Understanding the challenges and hard work that go into publishing and self-publishing, I'm here to alleviate those stresses. After we introduce each other via email, and you agree to move forward with my services, I will send you a contract that will need to be signed and sent back. This is to ensure trust and lessen any anxiety about sending your manuscript off to another person.

These rates are lower than the average editing rates.

Average rates:

• $0.020 per word for proofreading
• $0.021 to $0.050 per word for copy/line editing.

What is Proofreading?

~ This edit is a final, thorough check for any last-minute grammar, spelling, spacing, and formatting inconsistencies in your book’s “proof” copy. No detail is too small, and this edit will ensure you’re putting forth the most polished version of your book to impress and hook your readers.

This service will include:

• In-line comments and edits throughout the entire manuscript with Track Changes,
• A reader review detailing any changes and why,
• I will be available for constant email support.

What is Copy Editing & Line Editing?

~  With this editing service, I will combine copy and line editing to comb through your grammar, punctuation, spelling, and sentence structure with a fine eye, while looking at each individual line to clean up the voice, style, pacing, and word choice of each sentence—if needed—for improved readability.

This service will include:

• Extensive, thorough copy and line edits made with Track Changes throughout the entire manuscript
• A reader review detailing the changes and explanations of how to fix repeated grammar mistakes
• A video call to cover the edits and review
• I will be available for constant email support.

~I will also offer one free, final proofread with this service after the round of copy/line edits are completed and accepted by the author.
